Unreal Engine is a good fit for Milestone in my view it definitely gives their games an extra lick of polish that was missing from their own in-house engine, which stuttering aside always had a cheap budget look to it.Īs for which looks better MXGP3 obviously has more variety in its tracks and lighting than this game so I think the older game looks better personally. The sense of speed is terrific and while I cannot vouch for how accurate the game is in terms of physics (the rag doll physics though *is* hilariously uber-bad however), I can say that the game is a lot of fun to play and that is what matters the most to me. Not that you see the faces much anyway but everything looks so nice visually that it does kind of stick out like a sore thumb really. The fact the both MXGP3 and Supercross look graphically much improved as well is perhaps less important than how the game runs IMO but still v. L1 because you'd only ever slide the rear on a very tight corner. So all you need to do is move your finger slightly from R2 to R1 then back onto R2 with a dab of L1. Ok so where else can "Rear Brake" go then? There's only one place left and it's actually the most perfect place for it to go. And it would also mean you can't "Lean Inward or Outward" whilst coming into the corner and using "Rear Brake". Still don't like removing my Right Thumb off that "Lean" stick, it's far too important for continuous control. Front Brake stays at "L2" and Rear brake goes to maybe "Circle"? Also when using "Pro Physics" it automatically splits the Front and Rear Brakes between two buttons. You get better anyway because you are more conscious of your thumb movements. Note: You can't button mash anymore but don't worry. Gears can now be shifted while both thumbs stay on the Sticks. I change my Controller to (R3=Gear Up) and (元=Gear Down). You want to have your thumbs on both sticks at all times for continuous control. Put it down onto the correct button then move it back up onto the "Rider Lean" stick. I especially don't like the fact that I have to take my thumb of the right stick. It doesn't know if you're coming onto a straight or about to hit the Brakes to go into a corner.Įven if you think it is difficult, once you get the hang of it it's a far better experience.īutton placement is not good.
